COOKIES AND BROWSER STORAGE

Effective 1 January 2026. This notice distinguishes browser storage from the temporary processing used by the local worksheet.

What these technologies do

Cookies are small values stored by a browser and generally sent with relevant requests. localStorage stores values for a website in the browser without automatically attaching them to each request. Both can be used to remember choices; they can also support tracking when implemented for that purpose.

Functions in the site code

The editorial pages and supplied script do not set advertising or analytics cookies, create tracking identifiers or embed external tracking libraries. They do not use localStorage to retain contact drafts. The mobile navigation and scroll reveals operate in temporary page memory. Reduced-motion behavior follows your device or browser preference.

Site-wide privacy controls

If a site-wide consent control is presented, use it to manage any optional technologies described there. Optional storage should not be enabled before the required choice. A remembered consent preference is separate from the production worksheet and should not contain the contents of your note. Check the control’s current information for its storage identifier and duration.

Browser caching and history

Your browser may cache pages, images and scripts to improve loading, and may retain browsing history or form autofill according to your settings. These features are distinct from an application saving your production note. On a shared device, consider clearing relevant history, clipboard contents, downloaded files and form data after use.

Managing storage

You can inspect or remove site data through your browser’s privacy or site-permission settings. Blocking storage may prevent a preference from being remembered. Browser controls can also restrict clipboard access or downloads; the worksheet reports when copying is unavailable and offers a text download as an alternative.

External websites linked from the index manage their own cookies and storage. We do not control those practices. See our privacy notice for information about website access and direct email correspondence.
